Faith for Every Growing Season

Age-aware Christian learning for children, preteens, teens, and young adults—built to help families talk about God, Scripture, prayer, choices, identity, pressure, courage, and everyday faith.

Age-Aware Learning

Meet young people where they are.

Children — God Hears You

Read: Psalm 34.

Help children understand that they can speak to God about happiness, fear, sadness, gratitude, mistakes, and questions. Prayer does not require fancy words.

Try it: Ask the child to name one thing they are thankful for, one thing they need help with, and one person they want to pray for.

Preteens — Your Choices Matter

Read: Proverbs 18:21 and James 1:19.

Talk about the effect of words, reactions, friendships, group chats, teasing, honesty, and online behavior. Encourage truth with kindness and courage without cruelty.

Talk about it: What should you do when friends want you to join something you know is wrong?

Teens — Pressure & Faith

Read: Romans 12:2.

Explore how friends, trends, entertainment, social media, popularity, fear of rejection, and comparison can influence choices. Scripture gives a standard for testing what deserves influence.

Reflect: Which voices have the strongest influence over the way you see yourself?

Young Adults — Hold Your Ground

Read: Galatians 6:9 and Revelation 3:11.

Work, school, relationships, independence, money, disappointment, and major transitions can create pressure to compromise. Build habits of prayer, Scripture, wise counsel, patience, and responsible decision-making.

Reflect: What value are you most tempted to trade for acceptance or convenience?

Core Faith Topics

Conversations worth having early and often.

Who Is God?

Use Scripture to introduce God's character—holy, loving, just, merciful, faithful, wise, and worthy of worship—without reducing Him to a mascot for getting what we want.

Who Is Jesus?

Teach the life, death, resurrection, teachings, compassion, authority, and saving work of Jesus Christ in language appropriate to the learner's age.

What Is Prayer?

Practice praise, thanksgiving, confession, asking for help, praying for others, and bringing honest questions to God.

How Do I Read the Bible?

Start with manageable passages. Ask who is speaking, what is happening, what the passage shows about God, and how the surrounding context affects its meaning.

Identity & Belonging

Help young people separate their worth from popularity, appearance, achievements, likes, mistakes, and other people's approval while grounding identity in truth and responsible character.

Forgiveness & Boundaries

Teach that forgiveness does not require pretending harm did not happen, hiding danger, or giving unsafe people unrestricted access. Wisdom and boundaries matter.

Family Faith

Simple ways to learn together.

Five-Minute Bible Conversation

Read a short passage together, then ask: What happened? What did we learn about God? What surprised you? What can we practice this week?

Prayer at Home

Keep prayer understandable and sincere. Invite participation without forcing a child to perform spirituality in front of others.

Questions Are Welcome

Young people may ask difficult questions about suffering, doubt, relationships, science, culture, or faith. Treat thoughtful questions as opportunities for careful learning rather than disrespect.

Model What You Teach

Children notice whether adults apologize, tell the truth, keep promises, show compassion, handle anger responsibly, and practice the faith they describe.

Safety & Care

Faith should never be used to silence a young person in danger.

Tell a Trusted Adult

A child or young person should be encouraged to tell a trustworthy adult about abuse, threats, exploitation, bullying, unsafe contact, or anything that makes them fear for their safety.

Serious Concerns Need Real Help

Prayer and spiritual support can accompany appropriate medical, mental-health, school, safeguarding, legal, or emergency help. Faith content should not be used to discourage necessary care.

Protect Privacy

Teach young people not to share private information, passwords, addresses, intimate images, or unsafe personal details online, and to seek adult help when online contact becomes threatening or inappropriate.

Keep Growing

Build faith through Scripture, conversation, prayer, and example.

Choose age-appropriate resources, keep questions welcome, and return to Scripture as young people grow into new stages of life.
